Chamber Recognizes Businesses for Excellence, Milestones
The Greater Omaha Chamber announced its 2020 Business Excellence Award winners late last month, recognizing regional organizations for leadership, innovation, philanthropy and sustained excellence.
More than 50 nominations were made by a committee made up of the chamber and six regional companies, according to a news release.
The chamber’s Business Excellence Award honors innovators, community builders and change makers that forge new paths, promote collaboration and impact the well-being of the region. They create jobs, build community and raise quality of life through excellence.
The 2020 winners are ACCESSbank, Bland & Associates PC, Do Space, Farm Credit Services of America, First National Bank of Omaha, Hillcrest Health Services, McCarthy Building Companies Inc., Monica Sempek Photography LLC, North End Teleservices, Omaha Public Power District, OneWorld Community Health Centers Inc., Project Harmony Child Advocacy Center, Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha Inc., Verdis Group and WoodmenLife.
The 2019 Small Business of the Year is the marketing firm Bozell.
The Greater Omaha Chamber also announced 55 milestone recipients – businesses and organizations that have reached 150, 125, 100, 75, 50 or 25 years in operation.
Celebrating 150 years are Borsheims Fine Jewelry & Gifts, City of Papillion and Millard Public Schools. Celebrating 125 years are Aksarben Foundation, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and RENZE.
Celebrating 100 years are Electrical Engineering & Equipment Co., Completely KIDS, Endicott Clay Products Co., Omaha Home for Boys and Robert W. Baird & Co.
Celebrating 75 years are BerganKDV, Eakes Office Solutions, Nebraska Christian College, National Electrical Contractors Association’s Nebraska Chapter, Saint Francis Ministries, SilverStone Group and Tritz Plumbing Inc.
