Barristers’ Ball Will Return in Person This Saturday
After moving online last year, this year’s Barristers’ Ball is promising to be an in-person event of galactic proportions.
The 2021 Barrister’s Ball will be held at the Embassy Suites in La Vista on Saturday. The black-tie optional affair will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, dancing and a live auction.
Multiple items will also be raffled off throughout the evening, including $5,000 cash and a Peloton bike. The live auction will feature a number of travel packages, including trips to Maine, Mexico and a week at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. Participants also will be able to bid on tickets to a Kansas City Chiefs game and suite tickets to see Billie Eilish at the CHI Health Center in March.
Funds raised at the Barristers’ Ball will help support the Nebraska Lawyers Foundation as well as Nebraska State Bar Association programs like the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Nebraska Lawyers Assistance Program, the Rural Practice Initiative and SOLACE, as well as scholarships for the NSBA Leadership Academy and LSAT Prep Scholarship Program.
The annual event will also honor this year’s Robert M. Spire Pro Bono Award and NLF Visionary Award winners at the gala.
Individual tickets for the Ball are $125, with a discounted rate of $75 for young lawyers.
