Judge Julie Schumacher was selected by Gov. Kim Reynolds last week to serve on the Iowa Court of Appeals.

Schumacher, a district judge in northwest Iowa, will serve on the state’s appellate court that hears and decides appeals from district courts across Iowa.

Daily Record Publisher Jason Huff met with guests at the steak fry. Huff took over as publisher of the newspaper earlier this year.

“It went very well,” Huff said.
