CITY OF OMAHA

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on June 4, 2024 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 43854

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located south of 230th Street and Edgewater Road (parcel #0115910004) from AG- Agricultural District to DR-Development Reserve District.

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lot 1, Sinclair Addition, in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from AG-Agricultural District to DR-Development Reserve District.

ORDINANCE NO. 43855

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southeast of 204th and Fort Streets from AG-Agricultural District to R3-Single Family Residential District (Medium Density).

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1-16 and Outlots A-C, Indian Creek Preserve, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from AG-Agricultural District to R3-Single Family Residential District (Medium Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 43856

AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 32-212 to provide for an amended effective date of July 1, 2024; amend Section 32-213 to update watershed management fees for fiscal year 2025 to 2029; to provide for watershed management fee charges for the period of July 1, 2024 and ongoing until such time as the fee schedule is further amended by the Omaha City Council; to repeal Sections 32-212 and 32-213 of the Omaha Municipal Code as heretofore existing; and to provide for the effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43857

AN ORDINANCE approving an Agreement between the City of Omaha, Nebraska and the following parties, to-wit: the CITY OF BELLEVUE, Nebraska; the VILLAGE OF BOYS TOWN, Nebraska; the CITY OF GRETNA, Nebraska; the CITY OF LAVISTA, Nebraska; the CITY OF PAPILLION, Nebraska; the CITY OF RALSTON, Nebraska; the COUNTY OF SARPY, Nebraska; and, the PAPIO-MISSOURI RIVER NATURAL RESOURCES DISTRICT, hereinafter being referred to collectively as “the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership,” or “the Partnership” involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended, for a five-year term commencing July 1, 2024; to designate a representative of the City of Omaha to the Partnership Executive Committee; to authorize the Finance Department to pay the cost share to the Partnership as called for in such amended agreement, including a contribution of $191,000.00 from the Storm Water Fee Revenue Fund 12128, Storm Water Management Organization 116312; to amend the Master Plan of the City of Omaha to incorporate plans contained within the Amended Interlocal Agreement; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43858

AN ORDINANCE approving an Amendment No. 2 to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Omaha and Papio-Missouri River Natural Resource District (PMRNRD) involving the disbursement of money involving appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5 .17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for the terms and conditions under which Omaha is to participate in the Construction of Drainage Structure Rehabilitation for Little Papio Creek Levee/Channel Project, designated by the City as OPW 54074; to authorize the Finance Department to disburse a cost share to PMRNRD annually, according to the disbursement schedule contained within the Agreement, from the 2018 Environment Bond Fund 13125, Environmental Bonds Organization 117217; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43859

AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Urban Village Development, a Nebraska limited liability company, to implement the 1508 Marcy Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 1508 Marcy Street, which proposes the new construction of a four story 83 unit residential apartment building on top of a single floor of underground structured parking; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $2,443,131.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project, and providing for an effective date.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:

 

Class “C” Liquor License for High Life Millard, LLC, dba “Good Life Sports Bar and Grill”, located at 14110 “S” Street.

 

Class “C” Liquor License for Southern Spoon Incorporated, dba “Marie’s at Southern Spoon”, located at 3927-3929 Ames Avenue.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Day & Night, LLC, dba “Off The Bone”, located at 6052 Maple Street.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Joslyn Art Museum, dba “Joslyn Art Museum; The Joslyn”, located at 2200 Dodge Street.

 

Class “D” Liquor License for Hiwet, LLC, dba “Weini’s Mart”, located at 2118 North 24th Street, Suite 100.

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.
