Approval of amendment to Omaha Historic Preservation Guidelines to allow painted patterns at outdoor café sidewalks; City of Omaha

NOTICE TO PUBLIC

 

The following Ordinance has been set for City Council Hearing on March 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, at which hearing all persons interested may be heard:

An ordinance to create Road Maintenance District No. 2023-01, in the City of Omaha, for the purpose of improving Hickory Street, from South 90th Street to South 91st Avenue, by reconstruction of the roadway base and application of an asphalt surface course; to fix and define the boundaries of said district; to provide for the determination and assessment of damages, if any, occasioned by reason of change of grade; to authorize the Public Works Department, barring protest to the contrary in accordance with OMC 26-65, to complete the associated improvement project.

REQUEST for PROPOSAL

Project-Based Housing Choice Voucher (PBV) Program.

 

The Omaha Housing Authority (OHA) is accepting proposals from property owners and developers for the Project-Based Housing Choice Voucher (PBV) Program. Qualified existing developments or new construction and rehabilitation projects may be awarded PBV contracts renewable for a total of 40 years. Benefits to the property owner include increased and stabilized income and occupancy for the contract period.

 

Proposals will be accepted by OHA on an on-going basis through December 31, 2024, or until all units have been awarded or the Request for Proposals is withdrawn. However, available funding is limited, and proposals will be reviewed in the order they are received.

OHA is soliciting bids to replace furnace and air condition units at forty-seven (47) single-family homes and small “plex’ addresses in the city of Omaha. Thirty-four (34) addresses require both components; thirteen (13) addresses require the replacement of only a furnace or air conditioner.
