Notice is hereby given of a Board of Education Meeting for the Westside Community School District 66, Douglas County, in the State of Nebraska, to be held March 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office, 909 S. 76th St., Omaha, NE. The Board of Education Student Advisory Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m., immediately prior to the Board Meeting. The agendas, continually kept current, are available at the District Office. The meetings are open to the public.

Documents will be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All bidders who require hard copies of bid documents shall place an order directly with A & D Technical Supply and shall pay all costs associated with printing and if applicable, all shipping costs. Only full and complete sets will be printed - partial set orders are not allowed. Hard copy bid documents do not need to be returned as no refund will be issued.

PART 1 - BIDDING INFORMATION

1.1  SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

A portion of Westside High School currently has a ballasted membrane roof nearing the end of its life. The project includes but is not limited to the following major elements:

Removal of the existing roof ballast, roofing membrane, and roof insulation (location as identified on the drawings).

Removal of existing roof drains.

General demolition to accommodate project.

Installation of new roof insulation, membrane, roof drains and piping.

1.2  INFORMATION TO BIDDERS

Bids must be prepared on the attached bid form, with all required information provided, and submitted in a sealed opaque envelope with the bid name and the date and time of the deadline for submitting bids noted on the exterior of the envelope. The bid must include the bid bond and all attachments required by the bid documents. E-mail, facsimile or telephone bids will not be accepted. Any incomplete bid or bid not complying with the bidding documents may be rejected by the School District. Any bid received after the deadline for submission of bids will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. The School District’s clock, maintained in the Westside Community Schools ABC Building shall be the official clock for purposes determining when the deadline for bid submission has been reached.

1.3  BID BOND

A certified check payable to the Westside Community Schools Board of Education or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Check or Bid Bond will be retained as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to furnish the required performance bond, insurance certificate, or sign the Contract within ten (10) days after notification of award. If bid security is not received with the bid, the bid will not be considered.
