PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on December 6, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance to rezone property located at 2122 Poppleton Avenue from GI – General Industrial District to R5 – Urban Family Residential District.

An ordinance to rezone property located at 7270 Cedar Street from CC – Community Commercial District to R8 – High-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

An ordinance to rescind the ACI-Areas of Civic Importance Overlay District for property located at 907 South 25th Street.

An ordinance to rezone property located at 2718 North 118th Street from LI-Limited Industrial District to CC-Community Commercial District.

An ordinance to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 2718 North 118th Street.

An ordinance to approve a PUR-Planned Unit Redevelopment Overlay District in a CC-Community Commercial District located at 2718 North 118th Street, to approve the Development Plan.

An ordinance to approve an amendment to the City’s Master Plan regarding the Housing Affordability Action Plan for the City of Omaha.

Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Dan Smith for a Special Use Permit to allow development in the ED – North Hills Environmental Resources Overlay District, located at 5220 Wedge Court, Omaha, Nebraska, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with. The proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.

The North Omaha “Turnback Tax” Grant Committee will meet on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 5:30 pm at the Omaha Douglas Civic Building,1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE in Room 903 to discuss the allocation of North Omaha Turnback Tax funds for the 2022-23 grant cycle.

The Omaha Housing Authority (OHA) is seeking Proposals from qualified, licensed, and bonded entities to provide hazardous abatement materials, including, but not limited to, asbestos and microbial contamination with related abatement contract management

OMAHA HOUSING AUTHORITY

TRASH COLLECTION

OHA is seeking collection services for its containers at approximately 75 locations and on the schedule and frequency detailed in Exhibit 1. OHA is responsible for providing the containers, some are leased containers and others are owned by OHA. This contract and all provisions shall be in force for three (3) years, commencing March 1, 2023.
