PUBLIC NOTICE
Residents are encouraged to share their opinions on projects being considered for federal transportation funding allocated by the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) and inclusion in MAPA’s FY2027-FY2032 Transportation Improvement Program.
The public comment period runs Feb. 17, 2026, to March 14, 2026. Residents can view the projects and submit their opinions via a brief survey at tinyurl.com/MPOFY27CallforProjects.
The projects submitted for consideration include:
Heartland 2050 Mini-Grant Program funding requests:
● Papillion Active Mobility Plan, City of Papillion - $160,000
● eMoto Policy Planning, Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District - $60,000
● Streetcar Mobility Hubs, City of Omaha - $136,000
● Regional Roundabout Feasibility & Implementation, City of Omaha - $220,000
● Old Lincoln Highway Trail Connection Study, City of Omaha - $80,000
● Meigs Street Corridor Study, City of Valley - $200,000
● Regional Household Travel Survey – MAPA - $400,000
