PUBLIC NOTICE

The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha d/b/a Metro hereby publishes its CY 2026 Program of Projects (POP). The total federal share of Section 5307 funds available to the Omaha NE-IA urbanized area is 24,049,204 of which 18,409,688 will be requested for the following projects: Support Equipment/Facilities (2,287,096), Unified Planning Work Program (920,000), Transit Enhancements (1,192,000), Capitalized Operational Expenses (2,485,792), and Preventative Maintenance (11,524,800). The total 5307 POP is 23,012,110 of which 18,409,688 is the federal share and 4,602,422 is Metro’s local share. The total federal share of Section 5339 funds available to the Omaha NE-IA urbanized area is 2,075,040 of which 2,075,040 will be requested for the following projects: Rolling Stock (2,034,418), Project Administration (24,020), Training (16,602). The total 5339 POP is 2,444,210 of which $2,075,040 is the federal share and $369,170 is Metro’s local share. Direct comments to: Grant Administrator, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68102, until 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 14th, 2025. The POP is available for public inspection from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Metro’s Administrative Offices located at the address provided above. If a written request for a public hearing is received prior to the end of the comment period, same shall be scheduled and the public notified. If no comments or requests for a public hearing are received, this will be considered the final POP.
